Can You Really Get Paid for Taking Surveys?

You’ve seen advertisements claiming that you can get paid for taking surveys, but you probably didn’t believe them.  And why would you?  It seems like there are new get rich quick schemes popping up every minute.  So, why would these offers be any different?  Well, for starters, they actually work.

Now this doesn’t mean that you’re going to make enough money to quit your job and buy a private island, but you may make enough for a car payment or extra money for the holidays.  In fact, some people have made over $3000 a month taking paid surveys.  This may not seem like a lot compared to other work from home offers that claim you can retire in a couple of months, but that’s what makes it different.  So, now that you know you really can get paid for taking surveys, let’s look at how it all works.

First of all, most companies, successful ones anyway, value their customers’ opinions.  In fact, it’s so important to them, that they’re willing to reward you to tell them your opinion.  So, the company sends out surveys to willing participants.  If you fill out the survey, they get the information they need, you get paid and everyone’s a winner.  This is essentially how you get paid for taking surveys.

The best part is that it’s incredibly simple to get started.  There are several paid survey sites online that allow you to sign up, create a profile and get started.  With most companies, this only takes a few minutes.  Once your account is setup, you will be invited to participate in surveys.  You can either choose to participate or wait for a different survey.  However, you will only get paid for taking surveys that you completely fill out and submit.

The amount you will get paid varies depending on a few factors.  First, different paid survey companies offer different compensation.  So, you may get paid more for a similar survey at another company.  Another factor is the length of the survey and how long the estimated completion time is.  If a survey is lengthy, you will usually get paid more for it than you would for taking a shorter survey.  However, you should know how much you will get paid before you even decide to take the survey.

If you truly want to get paid taking surveys and want to make a decent amount, you may need to sign up for more than one company.  When you first sign up, you won’t be invited to take as many surveys as someone that has already completed hundreds of surveys.  So, you will have a much better chance to make money if you have multiple companies offering you surveys.  This is also why it’s best to fill out all of the surveys you’re offered at first, so you can build a good track record with the companies and get more offers.
